James Demsey over at design blog The Creative Mac (formerly The Creative Guy) posted some additional issues with Adobe Creative Suite 3 and Mac OS X 10.5. Seems in addition to the Open/Save/Place issues I mentioned earlier, copying vector art from InDesign to Illustrator has issues, as does hiding InDesign.
While only indirectly related to Illustrator, overall it still raises concerns about what else might be lurking in the code waiting to be found. I suppose it’s a bit of doom-and-gloom thinking, but from years of computer geekness I have been trained to be wary, especially when it comes to your work machine.Adobe promised a late-January fix for the Adobe Acrobat printing issues, but as of yet have not specified a timeline to fix these known InDesign issues.Â
It’s getting more difficult not to upgrade to 10.5 with many new shareware updates being Leopard-only, but the core applications pretty much dictate upgrades for me. Not sure what the deal is with all the Adobe issues, but I sure would like to see them fixed soon.Â
