Cartoon Dog with Cigar & Cowboy Hat
Concept sketch for a client project. This one will not be used as the cowboy hat was nixed. A hockey stick will be placed in the pup’s paw that is leaning on the placeholder "C". Eventually the canine will be leaning on the stylized text to be created (the company name).
Rough sketch scanned into Photshop, then cleaned up and rough shading added using the Wacom tablet.

I know it's just temporary, but there is something about the rough sketchyness that I like. For about 5 minutes last year I tried to mix that look with some of the vector stuff I was playing with.

@robinhos - thanks! And yep, final will be a vector illustration in Adobe Illustrator once the sketch is finalized.

@bcolbow - Maybe using a custom Illustrator brush would allow you to achieve that effect? I never really played much with effects like that.
