The original art was drawn by hand, and then imported into the computer and used as a template where the final line art and coloring was done as digital vector art in Adobe Illustrator.

This illustration once again reinforced my fondness for Adobe Illustrator, as the original sketches and drawings had been designed with the head of the alien higher on the shoulders. Since the artwork was created in sections within Illustrator, I was able to play with moving the head around and found that the illustration worked much better when the alien's head was lower on his body.
