This pen sketch was just a fun exercise in drawing cartoon and caricatured facial features. As the drawing progressed, a wise old man began peering out of the drawing. This sketch was done with a plain old ballpoint pen, which I love to draw with because with the right touch, you can shade very similarly to pencil. Most of the time ink is my preferred medium for sketching, as it forces one to 'let go' of the drawing and let it truly be a sketch. |
